Meet Firefighter Amanda Baum and step inside El Monte Fire Station in the Town of Los Altos Hills, CA!
El Monte station covers the entire Town of Los Altos Hills, including Foothill College and portions of Highway 280. With steep hillsides, winding roads, and large residential properties, firefighters here are specially trained and equipped to handle rescues in tough-to-reach areas.
This station is home to a fire truck, a Type 3 engine for wildland and off-road responses, and a dedicated Rescue company. Tune in as Firefighter Baum demonstrates how her team would rescue a firefighter in distress!
Fun fact: El Monte Fire Station is owned by the Los Altos Hills County Fire District (LAHCFD), while the land it sits on belongs to the Foothill-De Anza Community College District. Through a strong partnership, Santa Clara County Fire Department proudly provides fire and emergency services via contract with LAHCFD, and we’re honored to serve as your trusted fire service provider.
