Explains that a filter too dirty, clogged or fine can restrict air flow and may shut down or cool its heating. Sometimes a blocked filter causes the airflow to slow so much that the heat exchanger becomes overheated to cause the furnace to ‘limit out’ and turn off. Furnace filters clogged with dust, dirt or animal hair takes down the efficiency of the furnace so back rooms don't heat. Change your filter regularly, get a new one to start each heating season.
