Spectre and Heart – Understanding and Empathy (by Nichole Goodnight) || Slay the Princess

Описание: Based on a scene from “Mortality” by PhantomDreamshade, a fan work that presents an alternate scenario in which The Long Quiet finds a different path that doesn't involve taking the vessels to The Shifting Mound. This scene takes place after Hero gets Spectre out of the cabin by going through the mirror (like in the flashback Heart described). This takes place on a plane of respite that The Long Quiet was able to construct, and a handful of Voices and versions of the Princess have already taken refuge here.

Many fans have typically commissioned Nichole for harmless shitpost videos. While they have their place, I wanted to deviate from that and make something more pensive and serious in this format to maybe inspire others to try to do the same.

Made with DaVinci Resolve and Photoshop; I'd never edited together a proper video before, and learnt as I went. The process was a pretty fun educational experience and not all that difficult since I was working with pre-existing assets. I just really liked this scene from my favorite standalone Slay the Princess fanfic, and made this as a way to give back to the community (plus to give Nichole some more money). I now understand the near-divine urge to put an idea to video, time and effort be damned.
