What If Snape Caught Peter Pettigrew in Prisoner of Azkaban? Let's explore the depths of it in the video.
The wind howled around the battered walls of the Shrieking Shack. Inside, the confrontation had already reached its breaking point.
The truth had been dragged into the open.
The rat was no rat at all.
On the dusty floor, the small grey animal twisted violently in Sirius Black’s grip. With a sickening crack of bone and stretch of flesh, the creature transformed back into a balding, trembling man.
Peter Pettigrew.
Harry stared in disbelief. The man before him was weak, snivelling, pathetic. Yet this was the traitor who had destroyed his parents.
Sirius stepped forward, wand raised, fury burning in his eyes.
But before he could act—
The door slammed open.
A tall figure swept into the room, black robes billowing like storm clouds.
Severus Snape.
His wand was already drawn.
SNAPE (coldly): “Well. What an interesting gathering.”
Harry, Ron, and Hermione froze.
Snape’s dark eyes moved across the room, taking in every detail in a single sweep. Sirius. Lupin. The children.
And then—
Peter Pettigrew.
For the briefest moment, Snape’s expression hardened into something almost unreadable.
Lupin stepped forward quickly.
LUPIN (grim): “Severus…listen to me. The truth—”
SNAPE (sharp): “Silence.”
His wand flicked toward Pettigrew.
Before the trembling man could even react—
SNAPE: “Stupefy.”
A jet of red light struck Pettigrew squarely in the chest.
The traitor collapsed instantly, unconscious.
Silence fell over the shack.
Sirius blinked in stunned disbelief.
SIRIUS: “You…you stunned him?”
SNAPE (dryly): “Yes, Black. I am aware that subtlety may be unfamiliar to you.”
Snape approached slowly, eyes never leaving the fallen man.
He knelt beside Pettigrew and examined him carefully.
Recognition flashed across his face.
SNAPE (quietly): “…Peter Pettigrew.”
Hermione: “You know him?”
SNAPE: “Everyone knew him. We believed him dead.”
Snape looked down at Pettigrew again.
The pieces fell into place rapidly.
A dead man alive.
A framed fugitive.
A traitor hidden in plain sight for twelve years.
SNAPE (softly): “Well.”
His wand moved again.
Metal chains erupted from the tip, wrapping tightly around Pettigrew’s wrists and ankles.
SNAPE: “He will not be escaping this time.”
Sirius watched in stunned silence.
For the first time in years, hope flickered in his eyes.
SIRIUS (hoarse): “If he talks…if the Ministry hears the truth…”
SNAPE: “They will.”
Snape straightened.
But as he did, Lupin staggered suddenly.
His hands clenched.
His breath hitched.
The moon.
The full moon.
Hermione’s eyes widened in horror.
HERMIONE: “Professor Lupin—!”
Lupin fought to steady himself, sweat breaking across his face.
LUPIN (strained): “Severus…my potion…”
Snape’s eyes narrowed.
Then, with a sharp motion, he cast another spell.
SNAPE: “Incarcerous.”
Heavy magical bindings locked Lupin gently but firmly against the far wall, holding him in place without harming him.
The transformation began.
Bones shifted. Muscles twisted. A howl of pain echoed through the shack as Lupin’s body reshaped itself.
But the restraints held.
The werewolf could not break free.
Harry stared in shock as the creature strained against its bindings, trapped but contained.
Snape watched calmly.
SNAPE (coolly): “Your condition is inconvenient, Lupin. But manageable.”
The storm outside rattled the windows.
Inside the shack, three truths now lay exposed.
Peter Pettigrew had been found.
Sirius Black might finally be free.
Morning light crept across the high windows of the Hogwarts hospital wing. The castle buzzed with tension and whispers. Word had spread quickly during the night: something had happened in the Shrieking Shack.
Something important.
In the center of the room, bound tightly in magical restraints and watched by two stern Aurors, sat a trembling figure.
Peter Pettigrew.
He had regained consciousness hours ago. Since then, he had not stopped shaking.
Across the room stood several figures whose presence made the gravity of the situation unmistakable.
Albus Dumbledore.
Severus Snape.
Minerva McGonagall.
And Cornelius Fudge, Minister for Magic.
Fudge dabbed nervously at his brow with a handkerchief, his eyes darting between the bound prisoner and the gaunt man standing opposite him.
Sirius Black.
FUDGE (uneasy): “This is…an extraordinary claim, Dumbledore.”
