The "Sugar" Turn, from Atlanta based saxophone instructor, Randy Hunter at https://www.beginningsax.com is a series of jazz turns on a minor pentatonic scale based on Stanley Turrentine's tune, Sugar. The same style turn is found in Horace Silver's tune, Song For My Father. This explanation takes the mystery out of performing this common jazz embellishment. Be sure to check out my jazz improvisation lessons on the pentatonic scale in my series called Relating the Pentatonics (found at the link above). You'll find many other jazz saxophone lessons at the website as well!
NEW!!! I've just unveiled a jazz lessons subscription site where you have access to all of my beginning sax and jazz improv lessons at a low monthly rate: https://randyhunterjazz.vhx.tv
