Описание: Okay so i've been OBSESSED with azathoth for like 3 years now and i finally decided to make this video because nobody talks about the REAL implications of what lovecraft was actually trying to tell us. like everyone focuses on cthulhu and the surface level stuff but azathoth? the blind idiot god at the center of everything? there's so much more going on here that people miss.
so basically i went down this massive rabbit hole after reading through all the original stories plus some of the derivative timeline stuff and i started noticing these patterns. like why is azathoth specifically described as blind AND idiotic but also literally dreaming our entire reality into existence? that's not random. lovecraft was telling us something about the nature of consciousness itself and how fragile our existence actually is.
in this video i break down what i think is the hidden agenda behind azathoth - and i don't mean like the character has an agenda, i mean lovecraft embedded something way deeper into this concept that connects to his views on cosmicism, human insignificance, and the absolute terror of discovering we're just thoughts in the mind of something that doesn't even know we exist. the implications are honestly terrifying when you really think about it.
i also talk about the connection between azathoth and the daemon sultan, the role of nyarlathotep as the messenger, and why the flute players keeping azathoth asleep is maybe the most important detail in all of cosmic horror. plus i found some really obscure references in his letters that most people haven't connected yet.
