We begin by wishing a warm Happy 10th Birthday to Mantle Space at The Officers’ Mess.
This outstanding location partner has been home to Hot Stories Duxford, and today we celebrated not just a business centre, but a remarkable building filled with nearly a century of stories.

Mark shared the incredible journey of this building, which began life as RAF officers’ accommodation. From housing British pilots to later becoming home to American fighter crews in 1943, this building holds memories that shaped history.
Years later it became storage for the Imperial War Museum, fell into disuse, and then - ten years ago - was given new life when Mantle Space invested £4 million to restore, modernise and preserve it.

Today The Officers’ Mess stands as one of the most inspiring business centres in Cambridgeshire - combining modern facilities with original heritage, honouring every story held within its walls.

This video captures Mark’s insight into the building’s journey and the pride Mantle takes in preserving its past while providing a thriving space for new businesses.
