"911, what's your emergency?"
"Please, send the police, there is someone in my house!"
"Officers will be on their way, sir. Please remain calm. What is your address?"
[Distant unintelligible shouting]
"This isn't my house!"
"Is this person armed?"
"Sir?"
[Call abruptly ends]

05:14 PM: Officers arrive at the scene. There are no signs of intrusion.
05:15 PM: Officers enter the house.

Conclusion after interrogating Mrs. █████:
The intruder mentioned in the call was the man's grand-daughter. His daughter scheduled a visit two days prior to the event.

Mr. █████ has been placed in professional care.


Memories melt into each other, making it difficult to distinguish fact from fiction, and moments of clarity are few and far between. Hallucinations begin to appear, and delusions become stronger. The mind tries to rationalize the situation to no avail. Assistance is now required for daily living.


The vines begin to intertwine. The fog grows dense. The stars are dying. The sky is black as coal.
There is no home.

A cold breeze runs through the forest, sending leaves falling to go with the wind. Lights shine through the dense trees, occasionally piercing the unforgiving haze.
But the storm doesn't give up so easily.
