Day 2 part 3 (the final part) we come to “Heart Attack Hill” it is an aptly titled hill. Good brakes, a strong will and a little luck were needed to guide these old Jeeps down this trail that would not be very forgiving if a mistake was made. We finish up the day with a repack of a wheel bearing before camping at Olla Wash.
The Go Devil Run is an annual vintage Jeep event that celebrates the legacy of the iconic WWII-era Willys MB and Ford GPW Jeeps. Held in various rugged locations across the U.S., the run brings together passionate enthusiasts who drive their Willys (or Ford) Jeeps on challenging off-road trails, just as they were meant to be used. Named after the original “Go Devil” engine that powered these vehicles. Participants often dress in period clothes, camp in the wilderness, and enjoy the camaraderie of like-minded Jeep lovers, creating a truly immersive and nostalgic experience.
