This is the second "Frank Randle Dances" video I have posted. This sequence comes from "Somewhere in Camp" (1942) and once again features the British comedian and his "straight woman" Edna Wood.
Wood appeared with Randle in just two films, both times as his partner in a wild dance sequence. Her posh attitude and accent contrast nicely with Randle's no-holds-barred northern persona.
Frank:
"Have a Woodbine!"
Edna:
"Oh, how disgusting!"
As noted in my earlier video, these scenes seem to be cinematic translations of Randle's stage act, which had names like "Randle's Scandals." I urge you to check out the Mancunian Films website for more information on Randle and these films.
