Hi friends! Let me introduce the Great Hall of the People in Beijing. Located on the west side of Tian'anmen Square, it's a significant symbol of China. Construction started in 1958 and was completed in just 10 months—an amazing feat! Facing east, its facade forms a "mountain" shape, surrounded by 134 circular columns. This is where the National People's Congress meets and its Standing Committee works. It also hosts major political and diplomatic events. Inside, you’ll find the 10,000-seat Great Hall and a banquet hall for 5,000 people. Provincial meeting halls showcase local cultural features. Blending the grandeur of traditional Chinese architecture with modern simplicity, the Great Hall of the People is a must-see landmark!
