It seems like nowadays everyone and their mom has a podcast - side note, do not tell my mom she can create a podcast - so a lot of folks out there are experiencing their first introduction to the absolute misery that is camera switching on a multicam podcast.

So we developed Eddie for podcasts.

You may have heard about us. We launched what’s our users affectionately call us the “chatGPT for video editing”. Then it was ‘claude for video editing’. Then ‘llama for video editing’. And now “grok for video editing’. Whatever is the latest LLM analogy, yah that’s us.

Eddie is a prompt-based editor for pros. It’s this clean interface with all this powerful AI behind the scenes. We built some amazing tech to do automatic multicamera switching where the right camera angle is chosen at the right moment.

This tech uses both waveform and person identification to switch cameras at the right time.

We got a wave of new users who started using Eddie to edit their mc interviews.
But there were other users that wanted to edit mc podcasts. The core difference is that with interview-based stories, you are removing most of the interview and keeping key soundbites. But for podcast recordings you want to keep the vast majority of the recording, and just clean it up a bit.

So we built it. This isn’t the royal we. It’s 3 AI scientists, 8 engineers, 2 designers, and a partridge in a pear tree. Not sure why.
