RAY DAVIES ( the lead vocalist 🎤
rhythm guitarist 🎸 and primary songwriter 🎼 of the 60s British rock group THE KINKS ) wrote the song " SUNNY AFTERNOON " while sick, tired and lonely in London, inspired by a simple piano riff during a period of writers block.
The record was released as a single on June 3rd 1966 and reached No1 on the UK Singles Chart. It also got to No1 in Canada, Ireland, Netherlands and Norway.
