In Lord of the Rings, Haldir, a vigilant Elf of Lothlórien, stood as a steadfast guardian of the forest's northern borders. As a revered marchwarden, his duty was to protect the sacred woodlands from any encroaching darkness. When destiny led the Fellowship of the Ring into the realm of Lórien, Haldir emerged as their trusted guide, unveiling the hidden wonders and guiding them through the ethereal beauty of Caras Galadhon.

Having safely escorted the Fellowship to their sanctuary, Haldir returned to his solemn watch over the forest's borders. Yet, when the time for their departure arrived, an unyielding sense of duty summoned him once more. With grace and purpose, he rejoined their ranks, leading them towards the tranquil banks of the Silverlode, where steadfast boats awaited to carry them onwards.

The difference between the film and the book is that Haldir did not come to Helm's Deep. The elves of Lothlórien were fully engaged in battles, combating the looming threats emerging from Moria and Dol Guldur.
