Origins of Marxism: From Kant and German Idealism to Marx

Описание: This is not an endorsement of Marxism or its political agendas, but rather an exploration of its philosophical and theoretical origins, including, interestingly, its theological, mystical, and religious roots. Contrary to popular belief, Karl Marx's philosophy and the concept of 'scientific socialism' do not stem from purely empirical findings; rather, they are derived from a long philosophical tradition. This tradition traces back to the ideas of Immanuel Kant and his critique of David Hume, the Post-Kantian tradition, the philosophies of Fichte and Schelling, the German mystical Christian Pietism of Jakob Böhme and Meister Eckhart, Hegel's dialectical idealism, and finally, Feuerbach's unique modification of Hegel's philosophy. Therefore, Marxism, as both a philosophical and sociological paradigm within the humanities and social sciences, represents a unique intellectual achievement with a complex theoretical background that must be understood to fully grasp its origins.
