In this demonstration, you see a typical one-gram sweetener packet you find at many restaurants. Think of this sweetener packet filled with lead dust. This one gram of lead dust will contaminate on average 400 square feet of living area.
I say 400 square foot average because depending on the concentration of lead dust this packet could contaminate 125 square feet to 1,250 square feet of your home.
How big is 400 square feet?
In my inspections, the average was a living room, dining room, and a kitchen or one floor of a house. 1,250 square feet could be a whole house.
Lead dust is invisible and one gram of lead dust quickly disappears as you walk on it and spread it all over.
Proper cleaning can really help mitigate lead poisoning. I talk about proper cleaning in another video.
