We flew into Milan Malpensa Airport and picked up our rental car from Budget, then drove straight to our Airbnb in Nesso — such a peaceful and dreamy little spot by the lake. After settling in and getting ready, we headed to Bellagio for the most beautiful first day. Cobblestone streets, lake views, golden light… pure la dolce vita. 🍕✨ We even had pizza at a cozy spot called La Dolce Vita before driving back to Nesso for the night.

On day two, we started the morning in Varenna, wandering through its quiet pastel streets and little alleyways before heading up to the breathtaking gardens of Villa Cipressi. The views from there were unreal — perfectly framed cypress trees, colorful terraces, and that deep blue lake stretching endlessly in the background. It honestly felt like stepping into a postcard. ✨

From Varenna, we hopped on a ferry to Menaggio, soaking in the fresh lake breeze and watching the villas pass by from the water. Once there, we admired the beautiful Villa Carlotta and its elegant surroundings before continuing on to Tremezzo to catch a glimpse of the iconic Villa del Balbianello — a place that looks straight out of a movie set. After taking it all in, we made our way back to Menaggio to properly explore the town, strolling along the promenade and enjoying the relaxed atmosphere as the sun slowly began to set.

That evening was the highlight of the entire trip. 🎂✨ I celebrated my birthday at Cera Bistro in Menaggio — such a dreamy and intimate little spot. Candlelight, delicious food, the soft buzz of conversation in the background… it was the perfect place to toast to a new year around the sun. Being there, surrounded by the beauty of Lake Como, made it feel extra meaningful and unforgettable.

On our last day, we headed to Como city, but the weather had other plans. It was pouring rain almost the entire time, with grey skies covering the lake. Even though we couldn’t explore as much as we wanted, it gave the day a calm, cozy vibe — slow walks under umbrellas, quiet streets, and one last look at the lake before saying goodbye!
