Описание: In 2016, Lucas Lindner was in a car accident that left him paralyzed from the neck down. Lindner was enrolled in a clinical trial at the Medical College of Wisconsin and was operated on at Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee. He received 10 million AST-OPC1 cells injected into the injured area of his spinal cord. These cells have helped Lindner regain function in his arms, hands and fingers. He was the third patient in the world to receive the cells developed by Asterias Biotherapeutics (http://asteriasbiotherapeutics.com/). This is his story.
