Age regression does not always have to be involved with helping with trauma. Age regression is a coping mechanism that people use to help cope. They go into the mindset of a child, or just an age that is younger than their big age. (for EX: 1y/o-5y/o)
Things that could bring out Age Regression Include: Depression, anxiety, insecurities, certain fears, and trauma.(or other types of disorders/reasons.) Or some people were forced to grow up too fast, so it's almost like getting that type of childhood back for them.
But that's not all. Sometimes, someone will slip into age regression out of a force of habit, or it just happens out of nowhere beyond that person's control or the age regresser can do it for happiness/fun, whatever they feel comfortable with, so like nothing could be going on but a person will slip into age regression anyways, everyone is different.

I am going to post sometimes, just not as frequently since I still struggle to slip into age regression.
