Song: ‘The Operation Of God’

I made this song because the gospel of Christ is almost never preached plainly anymore. People add to it, twist it, replace it with feelings, works, water, confession, and commandments that cannot save. But God has already told us exactly how He saves today - and it is written in the Scriptures.

I am simply speaking what God commands to be spoken:

1 Corinthians 15:1-4 (KJV)
“Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;
By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.
For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:”

This is the gospel that saves.
Not works.
Not the law.
Not the flesh.

Ephesians 2:8-9 (KJV)
“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.”

This song declares the order of salvation:

Ephesians 1:12-13 (KJV)
“That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ. In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise;”

Hear.
Trust.
Believe.
Sealed.

This is God’s work - not ours.

Colossians 2:11-12 (KJV)
“In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ:
Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with [him] through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead.”

This is why this song exists:
To proclaim the operation of God, not the works of men.
To speak sound speech.
To make all men see the fellowship of the mystery.
To give the gospel clearly, without additions, and without compromise.

Let the scriptures speak.
Let Christ be magnified.
Let the gospel stand exactly as written.
