Kere Thonnur is a village near Pandavapura in the Mandya district of Karnataka. The dam here is one of the oldest in India and is known to have never gone dry.
It is also a place with historical temples. A few prominent temples are:

Sri Yoga Narasimhar Temple
Sri Srinivasa Temple
Kere Thonnur is about 35 km from Mysuru and 130 km from Bengaluru.
