Northeast Ohio Forecast: Record-setting cold possible as frigid temps continue

Описание: This stretch of cold has been incredible and it's starting to take its toll on infrastructure, car batteries and all of us in general. By Saturday, we will have eight straight days where our high temps have been at 17 degrees or below--a long stretch! Going back in the record books, this will tie the record for the longest such stretch. The other time this happened? Way back in 1899! So this is rare longevity to the bitterly cold air.

What you probably don't want to hear--the coldest air is yet to come! A strong arctic high pressure will surge south across the eastern U.S., bringing another surge in polar air with it. The good news is that our winds won't be very strong, so wind-chill values won't be as brutal as they were on Tuesday. But we will be pushing record lows Friday morning with lows below zero and then again Saturday morning.
