Chicken Coop Upgrade: DIY Opening Window to Keep Chickens Cool

Описание: In this video, we’re upgrading our chicken coop to provide more natural light and much-needed ventilation for the flock. We’ll show you how we built a custom, opening window using scrap 2x4s and plexiglass to keep the birds comfortable during those hot summer days.
​In this build, we cover:
​Materials & Tools: Using scrap wood and 1/4" plexiglass.
​The Build Process: Framing the window and cutting the grooves for the glass.
​Plexiglass Tips: How to score and cut the window to size.
​Safety First: Adding wire mesh to make the coop "coon-proof" while the window is open.
​Sealing the Wood: Applying our homestead-style diesel and motor oil sealer.
​Installation: Cutting into the coop wall and mounting the final product.
​The extra light and airflow have made a massive difference in the coop environment. We're hoping the brighter space leads to even more eggs!
