The state has dropped one charge of culpable homicide against former President Jacob Zuma's son Duduzane. The state withdrew the culpable homicide charge against Duduzane for Nanke Mashaba's death, stating that despite her being hospitalised after the crash, a pre-existing condition caused her death. Mashaba is one of the two taxi passengers, who died after Zuma's car rear-ended the minibus taxi they were traveling in February 2014. The trial proceeds with the other culpable homicide charge regarding the death of Phumzile Dube and negligent driving.
