Join us this week as we RV camp at Double Lake Recreation Area in the Sam Houston National Forest of East Texas. Double Lake is a National Forest Service Park located just outside the town of Coldspring, Texas. The park offers RV and tent camping, group camping, hiking, kayaking, swimming, fishing and biking.

Double Lake Recreation Area was built by the men of the Civilian Conservation Corps and opened in 1937. Our pull-thru campsite here was HUGE and the shade was tremendous! We were very comfortable camping here in the Texas Summer.
