There Are Alternatives to the Strait of Hormuz. None of Them Are Enough.

Описание: Two pipelines can bypass the Strait of Hormuz. Saudi Arabia's East-West Pipeline moves about 5 million barrels per day to the Red Sea. The UAE's Abu Dhabi pipeline moves 1.5 million to the Gulf of Oman.

Together: roughly 6-7 million barrels per day at max capacity. Normal Hormuz traffic: 20 million. That's a third.

And for natural gas? Qatar has no bypass pipeline at all. When QatarEnergy shut down, Europe and Asia simply lost access to the world's largest LNG supplier. No workaround. No backup.

The world built its energy system around a single 21-mile gap. And there is no Plan B.
