Goa Police have provided an update on Aleksei Leonov, a 37-year-old Russian national arrested for the murders of two Russian women in Goa. Leonov had claimed to have killed 19 women across India, but authorities found most of his claims false, except for one verified case in Pernem. Police say he made these claims to create sensation and has psychological issues. Leonov was linked to the deaths of Elena Kasthanova and Elena Vaneeva, both of whom were his friends staying in rented accommodation in Arambol, Pernem Taluka.
