First, I'd like to thank every Guardian who attended in this event. With less than a week to prepare we made a lot of headway thanks to all of you. This was started by one Guardian with a single message that many Guardians feel to this day. Destiny still means a lot to us and has been an impact on our lives for over a decade.
This was by no means an attempt to make Marathon fail but to simply send a message to Bungie that they built an amazing community that still loves this game and these people matter and should always matter to you.
As far as progress we have seen Destiny player count peak at 11,000 for that weekend of this event (from less than 8,000) according to activeplayer.io and on some sites Destiny 2 has beaten Marathon on both PlayStation and XBOX as most played games. Whether this had anything to do with this event or not is unconfirmed but the important thing was getting this out to players who feel the same way and your voices have been heard by many.
Again, thank you all who attended and you all matter and should be heard. Eyes up Guardian.
