Описание: Payment, clearing, and settlement systems may vary in type and structure from country to country, both for historical reasons and due to variances in legal, regulatory, and institutional frameworks. The development of modern, resilient, and efficient market infrastructure that fulfils the requirements of their economies and enables the growth of secure and efficient financial markets is a primary objective for central banks. Payment and banking generally go hand-in-hand. This does not mean that banks are essential to payments, just that in larger commercial transactions the alternatives are generally inconvenient, insecure, or impractical. Therefore, the aim of this presentation is to examine the underlying payment systems that are in place for the banking sector, and their relevant infrastructures.
