गोबर की खाद डाल कर एक किसान ने अपने खेत में गेहूं और सरसों की पैदावार ढाई गुना तक बढ़ा ली 4 साल पहले जिस खेत में केवल 4 से 5 क्विंटल सरसों और 10 से 12 क्विंटल गेहूं होता था आज उसी खेत में 10 से 12 क्विंटल सरसों होती है और 20 से 22 क्विंटल गेहूं होता है गोबर की खाद डालने से खेत में ऑर्गेनिक कार्बन बढ़ जाता है जिससे जीवाणुओं की संख्या बढ़ती है और जमीन की उपजाऊ ताकत भी बढ़ जाती है लगातार रासायनिक खाद का उपयोग करने से जमीन में जीवाणुओं की संख्या घट जाती है जिससे और रासायनिक खाद डालना पड़ता है और खेती की लागत बढ़ती है और पैदावार कम हो जाती है लेकिन गोबर की खाद डालने से लागत कम होती है और पैदावार बढ़ती है|
