This is a video of a 1969 mustang with an fmx transmission that has been sitting for around 20 years. the driveline and slip yoke would not slip out from the transmission I tried everything. and It came down to this.
Step 1 cut off the end of the slip yoke.
Step 2 remove the bolts and case off the shaft.
Step 3 clean the yoke and weld a puller to the side of the shaft
Step 4 use impact and puller + heat to remove the shaft.
After the shaft was removed it looked like someone put a seal or applied sealant to the splines holding it on + a wire ring of some sort.
