Our journey began on the remote Canol Heritage Trail—often called Canada’s toughest trail due to dangerous river crossings, washed-out sections, and tricky navigation. We hiked 385 km over 11 days, carrying all our food.
Rather than ending at Milepost 222 (where most fly out), we continued on foot another 26 km to the Macmillan Pass Airstrip. There, we picked up prearranged bikes from Sockeye Cycle Co. and rode 585 km along the North and South Canol Roads back to our car in Whitehorse.
Full trip report available on the Canol Heritage Trail website.
