Jimmy Page's guitar tones on the first Led Zeppelin album are the definition of legendary. I recently had the honor of meeting Mitch Colby, the one man entrusted by Page with reverse-engineering the mysterious modded Supro Coronado, and replicating it for the first-ever Jimmy Page signature amplifier, the Sundragon.
In this video I discuss the uniqueness of Page's sound, get the Sundragon backstory from Mitch... and even borrow one of the amps, along with a Fender Jimmy Page signature 'Dragon' Telecaster to plug into it! I also try out 4 of my main guitars to see how it handles different sounds. It Might Have Gotten Loud.
This was an amazing experience for me as a lifelong Page fan, and I absolutely had to share it. Special thanks to Keith Williams of Five Watt World for inspiring me to get this out.
