The Great Debate: Ash’ariyyah vs. Mu’tazilah
Explore the "Public Relations War" between the two major schools of thought:

The Mu’tazilees: Known as the Ahl ul-'Adl (People of Justice), they argue that reason ('aql) allows us to understand goodness and that God must act justly.

The Ash’arees: They argue that God is not bound by any rules or human frameworks. To them, God acts first, and that act becomes the definition of justice.

Tawheed or Justice?
One side sacrificed a specific view of Tawheed to protect the concept of Justice; the other gave up Justice to protect the absolute Oneness of God's actions. Which side makes more sense to you?
