Short Story :
A 16-year-old girl, Kamla, Chandar is a site supervisor and is known to be characterless. Rakma works at a construction site because her husband is an alcoholic abuser. She has a daughter and a son. Her husband, Ganpat, lost everything in gambling and wanted to get his daughter married to a money lender for money. One night, Meenu, Rakma’s daughter got kidnapped and then she was found hanging on a tree. On investigating, Meenu’s friend Vimla tells the police that Bhim was in love with Meenu and threatened her because she refused. The police interrogate Nazir, Bhim, Ganpat, Chander, Rakma, and Patil regarding Meenu's murder. They zero in on Patil as he was present at the building site around the same time as Meenu's hanging body was found.
