Hello, Everyone.I'm back with this new recipe.
Here it is:
No Bake Violet Chiffon cake
1 cup all purpose flour
1/2 cup white sugar(I used washed sugar here)
1/4 tsp salt
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
4 egg yolks(large)
1/4 cup vegetable oil(canola oil/corn oil)
1/4 cup water
1 tsp violet food color
Meringue:
4 egg whites(large)
1/2 tsp white vinegar/washed sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
Condensed Milk Buttercream Frosting:
200 g butter(cold,softened)
216 g condensed milk
violet food color(optional)
Procedure:
1) Bring 1 liter water to a boil
2) Combine all purpose flour, sugar, salt, baking powder and powder violet food color. Mix until blended
3) In a separate bowl combine egg yolks, water, and veg.oil. Mix well
4) Combine dry and wet ingredients. Mix well.
5) Beat egg whites on med- low speed until foamy.
6) Add white vinegar and beat until soft speaks form.
7) Increase speed to high and gradually add sugar. Beat until stiff peaks form
8) Gently fold the base batter into the meringue .* 3 additions
9) Gently pour cake batter into the pan(with wax paper)
10)Steam for 30-40 min. Wrap the lid with cloth or wrap the cake pan with foil.
11)After 30-40 minutes do the toothpick check.
*But if it's still wet adjust cooking and check every 5 minutes
12)Turn the pan upside down into the cooling rack and let it cool
13.For Frosting: Beat butter until soft,fluffy and light in color.
14.Gradually add the condense milk and food color if desired.
15.Beat until well combine.
16.Spread a thin layer of frosting into the cake.Refrigerate the cake and frosting for an hour if the frosting is too soft.
17.After an hour apply again a generous amount of frosting.
18.Soft and fluffy.Enjoy.
