As much as driving a car to work puts you in a climate-controlled bubble of safety and comfort, you lose out on so much by not biking to work!
I had a rental car a week or so ago so I decided to do my first commute to work via car. I compared my normal cycling time (around 16 minutes) and driving and wasn't at all impressed by the drive. Actually, it was more waiting in traffic and at red lights than driving. And I didn't get my morning workout in :(
