Departing an overcast SAN via RWY 27 on N7738A. This was my second segment on Ship 7738, an ex AirTran Airways 737-7BD that still appears to be in good shape for a 19 year old a/c. I recall flying on these 737s when they were delivered new to AirTran, so it was a pleasant surprise to see the old Boeing NextGen interior of N7738A still relatively well-kept. I will definitely miss WN's 737-700 fleet as they are slowly being retired over the course of the next few years. Thankfully, the newer ones will stick around for a bit longer and are scheduled to receive interior refurbishments starting later this summer.
