Описание: Vivian Leskes, Professor Emerita of ESL at Holyoke Community College in Massachusetts, USA, has been recognized by the US Department of State as a member of 30@30, a select group of English Language Specialists who have made a unique and lasting impact on the Specialist Program worldwide and the TESOL field. In 2017 she received the Elaine Marieb Award for Teaching Excellence. She was a Fulbright Scholar in Russia in TEFL in 2008 and 2010. She has offered training in all the five post-Soviet countries of Central Asia, the Middle East, North Africa, the Far East, Eurasia, and South America. Most recently she conducted mentor training for teachers and university faculty in Tajikistan and Egypt and presented the first English Language Programs Master Webinar. These mentor training focus on professional development opportunities to ever-expanding circles of teachers and encouraging teachers to develop agency. Vivian’s other areas of expertise include reading and writing methodology, developing critical thinking skills, and content-based instruction. She speaks Russian and Spanish and is the author of Lost in Siberia, published in 2011 by Haley's Press.
