An easy and simple healthy South Indian rasam recipe made with sour Gooseberry & other spice combinations. It is a popular winter season rasam recipe typically served with rice but can also be served as an immunity booster rasam.
These are easy and simple to prepare, but healthy and digestion-friendly recipes for all age groups. One such easy and simple native cuisine recipe is the Nellikai rasam, known for its combination of taste and flavors.

Ingredients:
Black pepper- 15-18
Cumin seeds- 1 Tsp
Ginger- 1 inch pc
Garlic- 3-4 cloves
Gooseberry (amla)- 3-4
Tomato- 1/2 (medium)
Oil- 1 tsp
Cumin seeds- 1/2 Tsp
Mustard seeds- 1/2 Tsp
Asafoetida- a pinch
Curry leaves- 10-12
Chopped tomato- 1.5 medium
Salt- 1 tsp
Turmeric powder- 1/2 tsp
Water- 1-2 tbsp
Chopped amla- 1 or 2
Water- 1-2 cups
Toor/ moong dal- 1/2 - 3/4 cup
Fresh corriander- a handful
