Just as the moon cools the blazing heat, may He calm the burning pain in our hearts — what need have we for other celestial powers when His grace alone brings peace?

Verse 3
O Shambhu, your glory — sung by the Vedas and scriptures — is boundless and beyond comparison. Who indeed can ever reach the limits of your greatness?

Verse 4
O Girisha, through your true compassion, may I gain devotion at your lotus feet — the supreme path of joy, peace, and liberation that never fades.

Verse 5
Your body shines with the holy ash, radiant like the clear autumn clouds. The snakes that adorn your neck and arms glitter like gems, emitting divine light.

Verse 6
Even though you wear the hide of a tiger, you are ever auspicious to us. May your endless compassion protect us — the boundless ocean of bliss flowing from your grace.

Verse 7
Your form cannot be fully understood by the Vedas or scriptures — half-male, half-female, the perfect Ardhanarishvara. Though strange to mortal eyes, you grant every devotee exactly what they seek.

Verse 8
The sacred Ganga flows restlessly in your matted locks — unable to move freely, yet always pure. Just as your devotees bathe in her waters to remove sins, may our impurities too be cleansed.

Verse 9
O Lord of Kailasa, you teach Parvati, the daughter of the mountain, the way to cross the ocean of worldly suffering. Now, freed from the burden of sin, I too meditate upon you, Vṛṣabhārūḍha (rider of the bull).

Verse 10
Seated on Mount Kailasa, you ever play the divine sport of lifting the fallen. Always united with Uma, you remove the sorrows of all devotees — O Shiva, remove the troubles from my heart too.
