Описание: Three coal power stations in the East Midlands are amongst the dirtiest in Europe, according to a new report. Ratcliffe-upon-Soar, Cottam near Retford and West Burton outside Gainsborough produce high levels of carbon dioxide green groups claim. The report was authored by WWF and others and singles out the 30 "dirtiest" in Europe. But East Midlands UKIP MEP rejects their conclusions that our energy needs should be met by alternatives like renewables. He says the report strengthens his argument for more modern coal plants to be built.
