Today, at a volunteer event, I was divinely led into prayer with a total stranger—a soul quietly battling alcohol addiction. What unfolded was not planned, yet it was unmistakably orchestrated.
Before prayer, I felt called to speak to something foundational—something that, in my own recovery, became the true interrupt to cycles of addiction: acceptance and forgiveness.
In this video, I share why forgiveness is so often misunderstood.
It is not about excusing harm.
It is not about forgetting what happened.
It is not about letting anyone “off the hook.”
Forgiveness is about liberating the soul from cords that bind us to anger, resentment, jealousy, envy, hatred, and fear. These inner states keep cycles alive—not because we are weak, but because unresolved trauma creates fertile ground for patterns that thrive in unforgiveness.
I speak honestly about the unseen aspects of addiction—not to create fear, but to restore clarity.
True healing does not begin with managing behavior alone. It begins with an internal shift of the heart. When forgiveness and acceptance take root within, the external changes follow—not by force, not by striving, not by willpower—but by love doing the work.
If you are walking through addiction, loving someone who is, or carrying unresolved pain that feels heavier than you can explain, this message is for you.
You are not broken.
You are not beyond redemption.
And love is far more powerful than anything it is facing.
