Opposition parties and civic organisations are accusing the Makhado Local Municipality of gross corruption and apathy. This after three million rand was allegedly squandered on a poorly-constructed bridge as well as the gravelling of streets that was never done at Sendedza village near Louis Trichardt in Limpopo. The single-structure bridge was built over a river that runs in the village as a safety measure for the flood-prone area.
