This hearty dish combines tender beef strips, earthy Baby Bella mushrooms, and a rich beer-infused creamy sauce. The flavors are deep, comforting, and rustic—perfect for a cozy dinner or when you want something satisfying without too much effort. The beer not only enhances the sauce but also helps tenderize the meat, making each bite flavorful and soft.
Ingredients 4 servings:
• 1 can of beer (your choice)
• 5 tbsp flour
• 2 tbsp butter
• 4 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
• 4 thin slices of Angus round top roast (or any cut of your choice)
• 1 clove garlic
• ½ tsp ground pepper
• ¼ tsp grated ginger
• ¼ tsp nutmeg
• 2–3 bay leaves
• 1 pound Baby Bella mushrooms or your preferred ones
• 1 small bunch Italian parsley
• Salt as needed
Instructions:
1. Finely mince the parsley and garlic.
2. Slice the mushrooms and sauté them in a non-stick pan with 2 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil.
3. Add a couple of tablespoons of water or broth, cover with a lid, and let simmer for 10 minutes.
4. Stir in the minced parsley and allow any excess liquid to evaporate. Adjust salt to taste, then set aside.
5. Reserve 3 tablespoons of the flour to coat the strips, and in a mixing cup, whisk the beer into the remaining flour, making sure no lumps form.
6. Cut the meat into strips, then coat them evenly with flour.
7. Melt the butter with the remaining 2 tablespoons of olive oil over low heat.
8. Lightly fry the garlic, then sauté the meat strips for a couple of minutes, stirring continuously to prevent sticking.
9. Pour in the beer mixture and toss to combine.
10. Stir in the mushrooms and continue cooking until the sauce reduces and becomes creamy.
11. Check the tenderness of the meat and adjust salt to taste. We add salt at the end to prevent the meat from hardening.
12. Serve hot and enjoy!

1. Marinating the meat in beer for 30 minutes before cooking helps make it more tender. Remember to dry it before coating with the flour.
