Описание: Sing Out America presents our second in-studio taping of the fabulous Rex Nelon Singers! From 1982, this performance features Rex Nelon, Kelly Nelon (Thompson), Jerry Thompson, Karen Peck and Rodney Swain, with band members Ray Fisher, Dale Jones and Todd Nelon! The classic lineup presented here on Sing Out America with a special interview of Rex Nelon by our original show host, Bill Traylor!

The Nelons were started by Rex Nelon as The Rex Nelon Singers in 1977, the group spinning off of the family group, The Lefevres. The Rex Nelon Singers (later renamed simply, "The Nelons") first number-one song was "Come Morning" on the Singing News Charts, and was awarded the Southern Gospel "Song of the Decade for the 1980s."

The Nelons were nominated for many awards in the southern gospel music industry including The Grammys, The Dove Awards, The Singing News Awards, The Absolutely Gospel Awards, The Diamond Awards, and The Christian Voice Awards. The biggest award though, is to our Sing Out America YouTube family as we present this classic taping from 1982 (and there's more to come in the coming months!)
