A little bit about how I meditate
You are free to choose how you meditate or whatever method works best for you. Modern life creates significant resistance to practice due to its fast pace and overstimulation, making it very hard to find long-term, sustainable silence. A place to connect with ourselves. That's why my priority and focus is on overcoming this resistance repeatedly in such an environment. That's why I think the 'technique' is secondary, yet also important, but as a resulting aspect of constantly overcoming resistance in one's unique environment, personal wiring, and research, which varies greatly from person to person. So the way I meditate has evolved to be very intuitive, spontaneous, and fluid, with an open-ended approach and no preplanned thoughts, methods, or techniques on how the session 'should be', an ever-changing-practice and exploration. It's like I'm throwing myself into silence and just watching what happens and sometimes I engage in the content as I see fit.

A little bit about form of practice
I view the practice of engaging with silence as a lifelong journey with an ever-evolving form with infinite possibilities but form in the context of formal meditation practice is just one aspect of it, and you can give it as much importance as you like.
I began meditating by simply sitting on my couch and I benefited a lot from it. It was about 3 years ago when I started using this specific setting with the mat and meditation cushion. Initially, it was very painful; I couldn't even sit for 5 minutes without experiencing discomfort. Having played soccer for many years without proper stretching, I also became quite stiff. It was only through additional stretching, as intense as the meditation itself, and numerous sessions enduring pain and constantly refining my cross-legged sitting, that I'm now able to sit comfortably as you see in the video. However, the quality of meditation isn't very different for me whether I'm sitting normally in silence on the couch or sitting cross-legged. So, it's a personal choice how important form is to you.
