☕ About the Recipe:
An Iced Latte is a creamy and refreshing espresso-based drink, perfect for warm days or when you want a chilled coffee with a silky texture. This version lightly steams the milk to 50°C (122°F) before pouring it over ice, creating a smooth, aerated consistency that blends perfectly with the espresso.
☕ Ingredients:
Coffee beans: 16-18 grams
Milk: 200 grams (whole milk or your preferred alternative)
Ice cubes: 200 grams
⚙️ Tools:
Lelit Bianca Espresso Machine
Lelit William Grinder (or any high-quality espresso grinder)
Milk pitcher (350 ml / 12 oz)
Serving glass (400 ml / 14 oz)

1️⃣ Prepare the Iced Base
Add Ice: Place 200 grams of ice cubes into your serving glass (400 ml).
2️⃣ Extract the Espresso
Grind & Prep: Weigh 16-18 grams of coffee beans and grind them finely.
Distribute by Tapping: Level the grounds in the portafilter basket with a few horizontal taps of your hand to ensure even distribution.
Tamp: Apply firm, even pressure with a tamper, ensuring a flat surface.
Extract: Place the serving glass with ice under the portafilter and extract 30-40 grams of espresso directly over the ice.
3️⃣ Lightly Steam the Milk
Pour Milk: Add 200 grams of milk to the steaming pitcher.
Aerate & Steam: Lightly steam the milk to 50°C (122°F), incorporating a small amount of air for a smoother, slightly textured consistency.
Swirl: Swirl the pitcher gently to blend any remaining air pockets and maintain a uniform texture.
4️⃣ Assemble Your Iced Latte
Pour Over Ice & Espresso: Slowly pour the steamed milk over the espresso and ice, allowing it to mix naturally for a visually appealing layered effect.
Serve & Enjoy: Your Iced Latte is ready! Stir before drinking for a perfectly blended experience.
5️⃣ Clean Up
Rinse Tools: Rinse the milk pitcher, portafilter, and group head thoroughly.
