Instead, he claimed that the third parties, including a private company and one of NewJeans members’ relatives, arranged what he described as a public fraud scheme. The lawyer emphasized that Min even gave up all her rights to reach an agreement with HYBE and to support NewJeans’ return.
HYBE has previously accused Min Hee-jin of trying to separate NewJeans from the agency and has filed a lawsuit seeking 10 billion won, about 7 million U.S. dollars, in damages.
Min’s legal representatives plan to take legal action against those who reported the allegations.

According to Netflix’s official Tudum Top 10 rankings, the series ranked No.1 globally in the non-English TV show category during the week of January 19th. It recorded approximately 9 million views during this week, which is the highest number among all non-English TV shows.
The drama entered the Top 10 charts in 60 countries and topped the chart in 15 of those countries, including Mexico, Indonesia and Colombia.

Actress Bae Doona has been appointed as a jury member for the competition section of the 76th Berlin International Film Festival, one of the world’s three major film festivals.
According to the festival’s administrator, Bae will serve on the jury that selects the winner of the Golden Bear, the festival’s highest award. The seven-member jury will be chaired by renowned director Wim Wenders, with Bae joining filmmakers from countries such as the United States, Japan, Poland, and Nepal.
Bae, known for her wide-ranging film career, is praised as an actress with a truly global presence. Some of her main works are “The Host,” “Next Sohee” and “Sense 8.”
