Cikopo-Palimanan Toll Road or Cipali Toll Road is a toll road that stretches along 116 kilometers connecting Cikopo, Purwakarta with Palimanan, Cirebon, West Java. This toll road is a continuation of the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road that connects with the Palimanan-Kanci Toll Road, as well as part of the Trans-Java Toll Road that will connect Merak, Banten to Banyuwangi, East Java. This toll road is run by PT Lintas Marga Sedaya (LMS).
This toll road is the longest toll road in Java and the third longest toll road in Indonesia after the Terbanggi Besar-Pematang Panggang-Kayu Agung Toll Road and the Bakauheni-Terbanggi Besar Toll Road in Sumatra (both managed by Hutama Karya as part of the Trans-Sumatra Toll Road). This toll road was once the longest toll road in Indonesia for 4 years (2015-2019) before the operation of the Bakauheni-Terbanggi Besar Toll Road on March 8, 2019.[1] However, this toll road shortens the travel distance by 40 km and also cuts travel time by 1.5 to 2 hours compared to passing through the West Java Pantura Line Cikampek-Cirebon section.
Actually, the Cipali Toll Road project has been started since late 1996, at the end of President Soeharto's leadership. However, this project was stopped at the request of the IMF when the 1997-1998 Economic Crisis occurred in Indonesia, when the termination of the project progress was only up to the land acquisition stage, which was around 20% of the project.

The Trans-Java Toll Road is a network of toll roads connecting cities on the island of Java, Indonesia. The Trans-Java Toll Road stretches between Merak Port, Cilegon, in Banten Province to Ketapang Port, Banyuwangi, in East Java Province. This toll road network connects the two largest cities in Indonesia, Jakarta and Surabaya via toll roads. This ±1,167 km toll road network is included in the Asian Highway 2 (AH2) or Asian Road Network that connects the Asian Continent from Denpasar, Bali, Indonesia to Khosravi, Iran. On December 20, 2018, Jakarta to Surabaya was officially connected to this toll road[1].
